Rocking away at boot camp!

Tue ,26/10/2010

Well we are going into week 3 and I have been rocking at boot camp. Everyday a little stronger, faster, and thinner.

I have a new toy for my iPad it is called MyNetDiary. It costs me $10 but it is a great application. I am tracking everything that I put in my body. It records everything you eat and remembers so inputting food items is a breeze. It is a great tool for keeping track of calories. I am nailing 2500 calories a day broken up through about 6 meals.

I ordered a new fight doctor mouthpiece so I will have to do another product review real soon. Overall been working away. Life is good!

Measurements coming in Friday so I will let you know where I am at as far as body fat %. For now back to work. Combat Fitness comes quick at 7:30PM tonight.

Reebock Zig vs Nike Free 5.0

Sat ,08/05/2010

Reebock ZigIt has been awhile since I did a review and I thought I would do it on my shoes. I bought a pair of red and black Reebock Zigs a few weeks ago before my HaganaH Certification at headquarters with Mike Lee Kanarek. I really liked them at first they felt real comfortable and felt like a great shoe.  I got up to head out to the second day of training and I noticed something wrong with the bottoms. As you can see by the picture a small piece was coming off. When we got our lunch break I ran over to Foot Locker to exchange them for another pair. The only issue was in the size 8.5 they only had the orange and silver. I had to grab them and get back to working out.

After getting ribbed for the colors I made it through the certification and have had them for 2 weeks. I have to give them thumbs down. The initial comfort is not there. I guess they are good for straight line running, but they just don’t get the job done with all the training I do.

Reebok Zig

Nike Air Free vs Reebok Zig

I have had a pair of Nike Free 5.0′s for over 3 months, in fact this is my third pair that I just love. The only issue with them is I had to change the insoles. The ones that come with the shoe are brutal. I love the feel of these shoes and the weight and the actually torque ok on the mat. I would not run more then 5K in them though as they are designed to feel as you are in your bare feet. I leave long running to ASICS and other running brand shoes.

I am going to be looking at some new cross trainging running shoes this week and will report back.

I am also buying some new gloves and some new King shin guards I will review in the upcoming weeks!

Been a great couple weeks. Then next 4 Billy Beck has really got me on an aggressive plan to gain lean muscle and drop down to 5.5% body fat. I was at 9.5% Friday. I have a big speaking event next weekend, but other then that ready to train!

Have a great weekend!

HaganaH Instructor Certification Complete

Tue ,27/04/2010

JB Glossinger Mike Lee KanarekWell one and half years of hard work have really paid off. Last Thursday – Sunday I went through a very intensive HaganaH Instructor Certification. Training for the last year and half at the HaganaH headquarters with Mike Lee Kanarek really paid off. I felt amazing and had a great weekend. I am also very thankful to all the other students who where just amazing.

Another special thank you goes out to Chris Kisslen who is an instructor and black belt in the system who stayed the entire event and helped us all. Obviously, I want to thank Mike Lee Kanarek for putting this whole thing together.

Amazing week – now I am on to getting better with Tactical Knife, Ground Survival and Ground Wrestling, and Tactical shooting. Along with that a weight gain of about 5 more lbs and a body fat percentage drop to 6%. Then next 6 months are going to be amazing!

I will keep you informed on my progress!

I wanted to include a new video on dedication here:

HaganaH Week starts now! Certification Thur – Sun

Tue ,20/04/2010

This is going to be an amazing week – this morning I headed to BB3′s to start my Large and in Charge workouts. Since last week I was destroyed from my Combat Fitness certification I came in to get started and Billy Beck III KICKED MY ASS. It has been years since squats, flys, and all the other things Billy was working me on. But it feels great I am back. I had to miss Muay Thai tonight as I am getting prepared for 4 days of Certification training and I have to get ahead with helping people on MorningCoach.com.

Tomorrow I start with my normal FIGHT class and then head back to have Mike Lee Kanarek hammer me with Combat Fitness. Then Wednesday back to BB3 for a terror Large and in Charge workout then sparring at Muay Thai Wed night. Then finally at 8AM we start the FIGHT Certification.

Going to be an amazing week, and next few weeks as I look to lose fat and gain 3-5LB’s of muscle. Eating everything in site on my diet plan LOL. I have to tell you it feels great to be alive!

Ready for a very challenging week!

Mon ,05/04/2010

Going into the third week with Billy Beck III as you can see from the videos it has been intense. We have been working to get my shoulder where it needs to be and as Billy says bulletproof the body. I am heading over there now, because business got in the way this AM. Then I am off to Muay Thai to work on some striking.

This weekend I have the Combat Fitness Certification with Mike Lee Kanarek, James Cooper, and John Clarke. I know this is going to be an intense 2 days so I am getting ready physically and mentally. The diet that Billy Beck III has me on is giving me tremendous energy and I know I am going to need it all for this weekend.

The gameplan this week….

Mon – BB3 workout, Muay Thai
Tue – BB3 Active rest, Haganah, Combat finess
Wed – BB3 workout, Muay Thai Sparring
Thur – BB3 Active Rest, Haganah, Combat Fitness
Fri – BB3 Workout
Sat – Sun (Combat Fitness Certification)

Going to be a rough week, need to eat and sleep good! BUT it is going to be fun!

New Combat Fitness video and interview of Mike Lee Kanarek

Fri ,12/03/2010

After a hard Saturday of Combat Fitness I interviews Mike Lee Kanarek and Friends here at haganah headquarters. It was an amazing day or training as always. You can see it here, enjoy.

Great week this week! Took some time off and feel 100%

Sat ,27/02/2010

I did it! 5 days rest.

Talk about tough, when you are used to training 2-3 times a day resting is a challenge. It was worth it though I am feeling as close to 100% as I have in the past. I am the type in football they would have to take my helmet away so I would not go in and play!

Tomorrow I am back at it with Godzilla in the am. Going to be a great leg workout and over fitness. I am going to start using my HR Monitor the Polar FT 60 to show some of the amazing results that I have gotten since getting involved in HagnaH Combat Fitness.

Been a few good weeks of training!

JB Glossinger

I have had a few good weeks of training. I have been wearing a Wei FASTT patch for about 1 week and I think it is working. If you look it up it is FASTT with two TT’s. I am really excited as I am about 100%. You can see the patch in the pic. Thanks Dr. Joe!

I shot some real cool video this weekend and will be posting it from our combat fitness workout Sat. I am going to be bringing a lot more video and workout ideas as we move forward. I have been focusing on launching my personal site. www.glossinger.com which is now up.

I am really pumped to share with you this wonderful change into fitness and health! We had to cancel the Joe Lewis training as he got snowed in, but I will let you know when the next one is coming up. Have a wonderful week…. more to come!

Off to support John Clarke at Strikeforce tonight.

Sat ,30/01/2010

We are all heading to Strikeforce tonight at the Bank Atlantic Center here in South Florida. John is making is debut and we are all excited to support him!

John is a great guy with an amazing positive attitude and I am blogging about him because he truly deserves great things. He started HaganA East a few months ago and is really the founder of Combat Wrestling. He has mixed wrestling with combat in no other way that I have seen.  I really see his style of Combat Wrestling blossoming in the world of MMA. He has been training with the George St. Pierre camp and they loved what he brings.

As I said John is an amazing guy in all rights and he deserves the support of all of us. I am looking forward to tonight as I get ready to head out! Can’t wait to see John Rock-n-roll!

BTW my shoulder is back to 90% and I have some real cool things coming up. I am doing a Kickboxing seminar with the legend Joe Lewis in a few weeks and then I have certifications for Combat Fitness and HaganA instructor all coming up in the next few months. I will keep you posted on all of it.

I also have some equipment reviews coming this week. Life is amazing, live it and love it!!

2010 Annual HaganaH Conference! Bringing home the eagle!

Hagnah 2010 Annual Conference

Hagnah 2010 Annual Conference

What an amazing weekend in Las Vegas! I just got home and I am getting back into the groove. The annual conference was filled with working out, learning new techniques and making new friends. It was a 10! One of the highlights of the conference for me was the award ceremony. There where a lot of amazing people there as you can see from the above picture, people where just ripped and in amazing shape.

Sunday afternoon before the black belt test they made the announcement for the International Haganah Federation “Fit2Fight Award 2009″. As I sat and watch Sir (Mike Lee Kanarek) discuss this award it was amazing who had won it the 2 years previous. Cooper who you can see on the far left of the picture is who is behind the award. As you can see he is a machine, just a solid amazing person and motivator. He was the first to receive it and the one who brings so much to the Haganah family from a fitness standpoint. The following year Larry Cott who is to the right of Sir is the person who received it last year.

Larry is my mentor at the gym, he is another machine. Larry trains harder then anyone I have personally ever met and just takes it to another level. Sir was explaining that it would be Coop and Larry who would announce the winner. When Coop said my name , I was blown away. Yes I have made massive improvement and gained over 20lbs but to be named with this award with these other 2 was just amazing to me. They both are so dedicated to there fitness level.

It is so motivating and now I HAVE to take it to the next level I will not let those 2 down. 10 more pounds this year and my cardio has to live up to this award. You will be seeing many more posts on this as Sir is rolling out the Combat Fitness certifications and I am going to be a very active participant in these.

Overall, I have never been to a better conference. We had fun and we all worked hard. Learned some great new skills and came home for some massive motivation!!.

Oh yes, my shoulder is feeling better. I am taking one day off as I had to take the “red eye” home last night and I am just now getting my mojo back. Ready to roll in 2010 going to bust ass to make it amazing. Bringing the eagle home goes to show you hard work does pay off! What are you dedicated to?
